  周立前(1970.09-),男,汉族,湖南涟源人,中共党员,博士,教授,博士生导师,湘潭大学博士生导师,湖南工业大学继续教育学院院长,CCF会员,湖南省计算机学会常务理事,湖南省物联网学会常务理事,湖南省高教学会计算机专业指导委员会常务理事,国家一流专业建设点“计算机科学与技术”专业负责人,湖南省计算机类大学生创新创业教育中心负责人,Frontiers in Genetics客座副编辑。研究方向为智能信息处理,主持国家自然科学基金面上项目、湖南省自然科学基金、湖南省科技计划项目等10余项,参与国家自然科学基金、湖南省科技计划重点项目等8项,发表学术论文50余篇,其中30多篇被SCI收录。2009年获湖南省自然科学二等奖。
